If you work in tech and think your career will grow just because you “deliver a lot,” let me share a hard truth: performance without direction is just wasted effort.
The tech market is fast, competitive, and full of opportunities. But without a plan—even one scribbled on a napkin—you risk becoming a supporting character in your own story.
And no, a career plan isn’t about waiting for someone in leadership to ask, “Where do you see yourself in five years?” It’s about you taking the lead. Knowing what kind of problems you want to solve, what type of company will help you grow, which soft skills you need to develop, and who is worth learning from.
Something I always tell the team:
We don’t just build code. We build people with vision.
Want to become an architect? You’ll need to learn how to negotiate.
Want to be a tech lead? You’ll have to understand people.
Want to grow as a developer? Stop thinking only in tasks and start seeing the system.

Growth doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when you combine curiosity with consistency, and technique with purpose.
If you haven’t thought about this yet, that’s okay. But start today.
And if you’d like to chat about it, reach out.
